Two Moons Rising
I did not sketch anything for this painting. I am attempting to stop sketching out paintings before I paint them. I painted the sky, then the stars, and then I went in with a wet-on-dry brush technique to create the clouds.

Unedited photo. I did my best to keep the colors to the original image, but the glare is just so bad. I did not want it in my final post.

Two Moons Rising

11 x 14 - acrylic paint on canvas.

I did not sketch anything for this painting. I am attempting to stop sketching out paintings before I paint them. I painted the sky, then the stars, and then I went in with a wet-on-dry brush technique to create the clouds. Later I filled in the clouds with color via wet-dry brush technique again. You can find tutorials for it on youtube.

I have no idea how I painted the moons. But my technique was mostly all wet-on-wet. The only layers I waited for it to fully dry was painting in the shadows. I painted the white with the base color. After it dried and I painted the shadows of the moon, I went back in with a slightly wet liner brush and traced the outline of the moons.
The second moon in the back was done a little different, I waited for nothing to dry with that one except the outline.
I intend to sell this piece, and it is an original creation.
